In an interview with PageSix , he recalled his first meeting with the iconic actress.

Radcliffe said that he hardly knew anything about her at first, but his parents were "completely blown away" that he got to work with her.

"What I did know about her was that she was a lady, so the first thing I asked her when we met was, 'Would you like me to call you a lady? To which she laughed and said something along the lines of 'Don't be silly'," he recalled.

Radcliffe described Smith as incredibly kind and generous on set. He said he was grateful to have been lucky enough to work with her on the Harry Potter films for over a decade.

"The word legend is used too often, but if it applies to anyone in our industry, it applies to her. Thank you, Maggie," the 35-year-old concluded with emotion.
