Disgusting discovery on an airplane: cockroach in two-year-old's food!
Delhi - On a flight from India to New York, a mother made a disgusting discovery: she found a cockroach in her son's food!
Suyesha Savant, who took the flight around two weeks ago, posted pictures of the find on X yesterday, Saturday.
As the New York Post reports, the mother, who works as a journalist, only discovered the insect after her two-year-old son had already eaten half of the meal.
"I found a cockroach in the omelet I was served on the @airindia flight from Delhi to New York. My 2 year old ate more than half of it with me when we made this find. As a result, I got food poisoning," Savant said.
She also reported that the seats were defective and the plane generally looked dirty. When she pointed this out to the cabin crew, she was simply told that it was a "mistake".
"How many more mistakes?" the mother rightly asked herself.
A spokesperson for the airline confirmed that the incident was known.
Not the first incident with Air India
"We are concerned about the customer's experience and have discussed the incident with our catering service provider to investigate the matter further. We will take all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future," the spokesperson said.
He added that Air India works with reputable caterers who adhere to strict safety regulations and controls to ensure the quality of meals served on board.
Last week, a TikTok user complained about the airline. In a video, he documented moldy headphones, a broken screen, dirt and hair lying around on a flight in first class.
"Everything was broken. They had literally put tape on the walls to fix things. It was a nightmare."
