Dog was homeless and full of scars: When a family picks him up, it gets touching

Edmonton (USA) - This dog makes no secret of what's going on inside him. When pit bull mix McFlurry is adopted and picked up from the shelter by his new owners, the pet's reaction speaks volumes.

The new family came to the shelter to sign the adoption papers. The dog seems to understand straight away that he is now getting a new home.

At first he sits on the lead, wagging his tail and sticking out his tongue. After a while, the animal straightens up on its hind paws.

It looks as if the furry friend is checking whether the paperwork has been filled in correctly. After the document has been finally signed, the four-legged friend, whose name and appearance are reminiscent of McDonald's ice cream, falls into the arms of its new owner.

It is as if the dog wants to say "thank you" for being given a new chance.

Although the animal only lived in the shelter for about three months, as Newsweek reports, McFlurry has a longer period of homelessness behind him.

The four-legged friend had been wandering around homeless for around two years and was found in a reserve, according to its new owner. The animal's body was covered in scars.

The owners quickly took the velvet paw to their hearts, were enchanted by the two different-colored eyes and also created a TikTok account for their new roommate with the Oreo milkshake-like fur.

The video of the human and dog reunion was uploaded there and has already received more than 70,000 clicks. In the comments, McFlurry's new visitor reveals that the pet fills a gap that has arisen.

"We lost our 15-year-old pit bull in December," reports the new owner. The animal has "brought the light and joy back" to the family home and users happily agree in the comments with numerous heart and dog emojis.
