Woman sunbathing: When she sees what's lurking between her legs, her blood freezes in her veins!

Australia - A woman from Down Under has provided a good reason not to emigrate to Australia after all. The TikToker put her life in danger during an everyday activity - initially without even realizing it!

Blythe was simply enjoying the sun in her garden. The Australian hadn't even ventured completely outside, but remained sitting in the open patio door.

The sunny break came to an abrupt end when Blythe unconsciously glanced between her legs: a deadly danger was lurking under the step to the patio!

Of all things, one of the most poisonous animals in the country, a red-bellied black viper, had chosen the same spot to rest.

"I was just sitting down here ... with my feet down there," Blythe explains in a video that would later go viral on TikTok. "Tell me, what's in the gap down here?"

In the clip, you can only catch a glimpse of the dangerous reptile that had crawled into the gaps in the stones. "Was I just sitting there - with that wanker?" the Australian asks her viewers, completely distraught.

As snake expert Courtenay Brown explains to Yahoo News Australia, the venom of the "defensive" red bellies can be deadly.

A bite can lead to swelling in the affected area, nausea, vomiting, headaches, abdominal pain, diarrhea, sweating, local or general muscle pain and weakness.

Australia is currently entering the dreaded snake season. The warm weather Down Under stimulates the reptiles and they become more agile. The animals are mainly looking for mates and are therefore on the move a lot.

"It's just gone crazy straight away," says snake lady Brown. "It's been a couple of missions every day for a few weeks now. So that's quite a lot for me." Residents should be particularly vigilant near their homes.
