Three years without a visit to the hairdresser - A cut changes everything: "Is that really me?"

Richmond (USA) - Anyone who goes to Thai Nguyen (39) usually doesn't recognize themselves in the mirror afterwards! The viral hairdresser from the US state of Virginia has already brought a smile to the faces of many a customer with his hairy works of art. This was also the case for a young man who had grown tired of his long mane.

Nguyen is extremely successful on TikTok as "Richmond Barber"; the 39-year-old's clips regularly receive millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes.

Recently, a customer sat in his chair who claimed not to have been to the barber for around three years. But the viral clips of the TikTok barber aroused his curiosity - he also wanted to see the hairdressing magician's skills for himself.

Nguyen knew immediately that he would not repeat the mistakes of his client's former hairdressers, who had failed to style the hair to suit the face.

He asked him if he already had a girlfriend - to which the young man replied in the negative. To which the "Richmond Barber" simply replied confidently: "Ready to get a [girlfriend]?"

A few moments later, his customer looks like a new man! Instead of long hair and a scruffy beard, he's sporting a stylish short hairstyle with a medium taper fade. "It's one of my favorite hairstyles," Nguyen explained on TikTok.

The young man is thrilled: "Is that really me? That looks good," he says, delighted with his hairy transformation. The two-and-a-half-hour journey just for the hairdresser's visit was definitely worth it, the highly satisfied customer affirms.

The star barber's work was once again lavishly praised online. "This hairdresser makes everyone look better," read one comment with more than 3,000 likes.

"Will we be seeing you here again in the future?" Nguyen asked his customer. He replied with an emphatic "Of course" - no wonder, with such a successful transformation.
