He is said to have killed Abby (†13) and Libby (†14): Will killer get his comeuppance after years?
Delphi (USA) - The murder of Abigail (†13) and Liberty (†14) in Delphi seven years ago shocked many people. Now the accused is finally standing trial in the US state of Indiana.
On February 13, 2017, the two eighth-graders Abby and Libby disappeared on a hike near their hometown. A day later, police found the children's bodies.
As NBC News reports, Libby is said to have recorded a video showing a man before her death.
This put investigators on a hot lead. Five years later, the then 50-year-old Richard Allen was arrested.
He is said to have killed Abby and Libby in 2017 when the two were taking photos on an old railroad line.
Defendant denies the allegations
So far, the 52-year-old has denied the allegations. The trial begins this Friday.
According to his defense, Richard suffers from schizophrenic episodes.
