Creepy toilet? Woman discovers suspicious toilet lock and calls police
College Station (Texas, USA) - A stop at a gas station in the US state of Texas left a woman with a terribly uneasy feeling. She later reports on TikTok about an extremely strange lock she discovered on the outside of the door to the ladies' room and is looking for an explanation.
A few days ago, Shelby posted a video in which she describes for several minutes the ominous discovery of what appears to be an electronic lock on a restroom door at a gas station in the town of College Station.
The title of the clip with hundreds of thousands of views: "Maybe I'm crazy, but if I am, I'd like to know what this device is for." This was later followed by an on-location clip.
In the video, she explained how the lock could engage when the door was closed, so that someone could easily be locked inside. The strange thing was that she found no such lock on the outside of the men's toilet.
In her opinion, the petrol station employees also behaved extremely strangely and asked her not to take any photos or videos inside. They also gave her strange looks. But was it all half as bad?
The great mystery surrounding the strange castle
Shelby thought this was strange and alerted the police. After consulting with employees, the authorities tried to come up with an explanation. According to them, the purpose of the lock was to prevent people from destroying the facility. Shelby claims that this explanation does not really make sense, as the lock does not prevent anyone from entering the restroom.
There was wild speculation in the comment sections below the videos as to what the reason for the lock might be. Alongside wild conspiracy stories, many agreed that such a device was strange to say the least.
Shelby later announced in another clip: The lock had suddenly disappeared! Someone had informed the fire department, which is said to have persuaded the petrol station operators to remove the lock, presumably for fire safety reasons.
It is not possible to say for certain what the lock was ultimately put there for. Shelby ended her statement with the words "Stay safe".
