Experts are baffled: Woman torn to pieces by mysterious animal

Sangre de Cristo Ranches (USA) - A small settlement in the United States is currently in shock. One day, residents found the mangled body of Cindy Denholm (†68), but not even the autopsy could prove who or what had done her in.

As the British"Mirror" reports, the small settlement is located in the south of the state of Colorado, in the center of the USA .

The residents found Cindy's body not far from the settlement, virtually in the middle of nowhere, but the 68-year-old was barely recognizable.

Her body was covered in severe injuries, her face completely disfigured. A post-mortem examination revealed that Cindy had been badly mauled by an animal . Deep, gaping wounds, most likely caused by bites and claws, marked her face, upper body and legs. In addition to the wounds, the forensic experts also noticed that the 68-year-old's right hand had been severed from the rest of her body by brute force.

The medics are certain that only an animal could have mauled the woman's body in this way. But the experts are still at a loss as to which animal inflicted such terrible damage on Cindy Denholm.

Investigators are currently combing the area where the 68-year-old's body was found to find clues to the killer monster. So far, the search has been unsuccessful. One obvious assumption is that Cindy fell victim to a pack of wolves that were released into the wild in the area earlier this year.

However, the injuries on her body are not typical of wolves, according to the experts.
