Fans want Pierce Brosnan back as "James Bond": Now the actor speaks out
London - He is no longer on a secret mission: in an interview, actor Pierce Brosnan (71) announced that he is not interested in returning as James Bond .

Brosnan told the German Press Agency in London about a future casting for the iconic role: "That's another man's job now."
The Irish actor played the legendary agent in four films from 1995 to 2002, before he was finally replaced by his successor Daniel Craig (57).
Several fans had spoken out on the Internet in favor of Brosnan's return - although this is considered highly unlikely.
However, the ex-James Bond was flattered by his supporters and said. "I accept this love with gratitude. Who knows what will happen next."
Barbara Broccoli (64) and Michael G. Wilson (83), the long-time producers of the film series, announced in February that they were handing over creative control to Amazon MGM Studios.
It is still unclear who will play the British secret agent in the future. Daniel Craig said goodbye to the lead role in 2021 with "No Time to Die".

Planned reboot of the "James Bond" film series
The next producer duo has already been confirmed for the reboot of the series. Amy Pascal (67, "Spider-Man") and David Heyman (63, "Harry Potter") will take over the job in future.
"I wish them all the best," said Brosnan ("GoldenEye", "The World Is Not Enough") at the end of the interview.
