The moment the perpetrator struck! A surveillance camera captured the scene in minute detail.

The criminal act took place on December 20 at around 4 pm on Tuli Wali Street in Firozpur district.

According toZee News, the eventual "victim" of the robbery, Asha Bindra, was walking with a family member at the time when terror struck the young woman in the form of a masked man.

Unnoticed from behind, the robber, who was undoubtedly after the woman's handbag, lurked on the scooter waiting for an opportune moment.

Then came the surprise: the action went anything but thievingly well for the thief on two wheels, as he unexpectedly received a lot of resistance from his victim.

A quick flick of the wrist and everything is set? Think again! The victim quickly showed the robber where the hammer hangs.

The handbag, which according to the report contained a cell phone and other valuables, was now to become the coveted object of a furious duel - and at no small price.

At full speed, the attacked woman was dragged along the hard asphalt for several meters, and anyone who thought that the victim would let pain stop her was mistaken.

Asha refused to simply let go of her bag and, thanks to her tenacity, ultimately sent the thief fleeing without any loot.

The risky venture may have left her with a few injuries, but they were obviously worth it for the brave lady.

The woman received a lot of praise on social media for her courage and the handbag she reclaimed. It was not reported whether the scooter robber could be hunted down afterwards.
