The "stranger" in the background was none other than her current husband Ethan. However, the video was taken around three months before they supposedly met for the first time!

Originally, Audrey had only wanted to film her friend Abby and her partner, who are hugging in the foreground. Instead, her own fate was already foreshadowed as Ethan turned the corner behind the couple.

"I sent it to him and I was just like, 'Oh my God, look at the date of this video, this is before we even met,'" the 30-year-old said in an interview with Newsweek, adding: "We were both shocked."

According to Audrey, their first "real" encounter was anything but promising .

"I don't think anyone would have expected us to get together," she told the US magazine. But love and chance often strike at the most unexpected moments.

However, the fact that Ethan and Audrey are now married is not the only big change. They have also turned their lives upside down.

Ethan is a successful field hockey player who had to move to Budapest to pursue his career. Audrey, who comes from South Carolina, followed him there.

"I'll never forget the last morning when I got off my night shift and left my job, knowing that I would be moving to another country with the love of my life," said the former nurse.

But not only she is amazed by her curious discovery in the cell phone video, but also the TikTok audience. Since last week, the corresponding clip, including the happy ending (the wedding), has already received 4.6 million clicks.
